I had a comfortable stay at Red Inn Court, though the noise was quite bothersome at times. The staff were friendly and the location was excellent, surrounded by great eateries and close to attractions. However, the shared bathrooms had some issues and the Wi-Fi was pretty slow.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious with a huge, comfy bed, but soundproofing was poor, making it hard to sleep at times. The dim lighting and lack of a working TV didn't add to the experience.
Service

The staff were kind, but during check-in, I had to wait around 40 minutes, which was frustrating after a long bus ride in the rain.
Location

Perfectly located near local eateries and the famous Kapitan Keling Mosque, which made exploring Penang super easy.
Dining

They provided a simple breakfast with toast and fruit, which was decent for getting my day started.
Facilities

The shared bathrooms were clean but had some maintenance issues like flickering lights and non-flushing toilets. Also, there was no hot water.

7.4/10

My stay at Red Inn Court was a mixed experience. The location was fantastic and the room was large and comfortable, though it came with some noise challenges. I encountered frustrating issues like slow Wi-Fi and an unresponsive TV. Overall, it had its highs and lows.

Rooms

The room was spacious with a huge bed and adequate power sockets. However, the lighting was dim and there was street noise all night, making it hard to sleep at times.
Service

The staff were friendly and helpful, but my check-in was delayed due to staff absence. A particular staff member was quite abrupt, which dampened the experience.

I loved the location near St. George. It was perfect for exploring George Town, with easy access to CAT bus stops.

The showers were fantastic, hot water and powerful. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was slow and some lights in the bathrooms were not functioning.

5.0/10

My stay at Red Inn Court had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, close to several temples and historical attractions, which made exploring George Town easy. However, the noise levels were often disruptive, both from the busy street outside and the thin walls that let me hear everything happening around me. While the staff were generally friendly, I felt that service could be improved, especially during busy check-in times.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, but the noise from the street and neighboring rooms was hard to ignore. I also encountered a strange issue with the shower door that had a hole in it, which made me a bit uneasy.
Service
6.0
While the staff was mostly friendly, I noticed a lack of attentiveness, especially during check-in when I had to wait a while without being attended to. A bit more warmth would go a long way.
Location
8.0
The location was excellent, being close to various temples and within walking distance of other attractions. I appreciated how easy it was to explore the area on foot.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite simple, mostly tea/coffee and toast with some fruit. I was hoping for more variety and quality, especially since the coffee was burnt on multiple occasions.
Facilities
6.0
The shared bathrooms were clean, but one of the showers wasn't working properly, and the lightbulbs flickered annoyingly. The amenities could use some improvement to enhance comfort.

My stay at Red Inn Court had its highs and lows. The location was excellent, close to many cultural sites. but the service and facilities left something to be desired. The room was quite spacious and generally clean, yet I faced some discomfort due to noise and maintenance issues. Overall, it was an average experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. However, the lighting was poor with some bulbs not working, and I could hear quite a bit of noise from outside and upstairs.
Service

The staff was generally friendly, but unhelpful at times. For instance, I had to wait quite a while for check-in and there were no towels offered to me initially.
Location

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to local attractions like St. George's Church and the Goddess of Mercy Temple.

7.2/10

I had a fairly average stay at Red Inn Court. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was great for accessing nearby attractions and local cuisine. However, there were some issues with the service, as the staff seemed a bit forgetful at times, and the breakfast offerings were quite limited.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, which I appreciated. However, the bathrooms could be improved since the ones upstairs didn’t have hot water. I did notice a bit of humidity when I first entered my room, likely due to the air conditioning working overtime.
Service
6.0
The staff were not as helpful as I hoped. For example, they forgot to provide towels when I checked in, although I saw other guests receive them. This inconsistency made my experience a bit frustrating.
Location
8.0
The location was definitely a highlight. It was close to the Rapid Penang bus stop and within walking distance of many eating spots and attractions. Plus, the surrounding area offered a variety of local food options that I loved exploring.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was pretty basic—just toast and jam—but there were free tea, coffee, and water available all day. While it wasn’t a hearty breakfast, it was better than nothing (and I took advantage of the free-flow drinks!).
Facilities
6.0
The hostel had decent facilities like daily room service and clean shared bathrooms, but I noted a shortage of hot water and limited locker space for my belongings. The lack of hot water in the bathrooms was a bit of a letdown.
